I think I had just read a couple days ago that on their later records Ashford and Simpson sang alongside the guys in the background. At least that was my impression. Did Ashford & Simpson replace them? |

They may have sang background vocals on some of the later records but i doubt they were ever group members directly... they were too busy writing and producing songs for other artists. |
