Well today I am going to talk about my grandfather David Williams. He was my father's dad. And he used to work at the foundry as a tinsmith. In his spare time he made different things and sold them to make money for his family. My mother told me he used to go around and collect old cast iron pots and pans, or tin or aluminum, he would melt them down and he would then make different things such as cemetery crosses, or crosses to hang in the homes, I have seen his crosses in the cemetery nearby. Of course I took some photos to have and pass down the story to my grandchildren. Anyway my grandfather made a placque in memory of a hockey team called The Moncton Hawks, because they had won the playoffs. As far as I know there are two of them around so far, one is in the Moncton Museum and the other one is in my possession. Before my Dad passes away I asked him for it, and he gave it to me. I will treasure this because first of all my father passed it down to me, and secondly it was made by my grandfather David.....
