Last summer, I bought a puppy bitch from Shannon Windsor of Blackhaven Shepherds. I paid $1300.00 for her as a show/breeding prospect. Skye was taken and not returned to me after repeated requests that she be returned.On October 27 2007 Miss Windsor asked that she have Skye for a few days to get a second opinion from her vet about a spot of demodex on her nose. My vet said to wait it out and let her immune system fight it. Shannon thought it should be medicated. So I agreed to let her get her second opinion. I figured since she was the breeder it was no big deal. On October 31 2007 I called Miss Windsor to advise her that I want Skye back immediately. She said "no" and hung up on me. The next day she called to tell me that Skye is very sick! I asked her to return my pup to me so that I can take her to my vet. She again says "no" and hangs up. I then sent her an email reminding her that Skye is registered to me and by law she is mine....not hers, and she must return her.Due to the fact that Ms. Windsor repeatedly refused to return my dog I had no recourse but to reported her as stolen on Nov.4, 2007. The Police informed me that this was a civil case but will try and help me on a personal level. The officer contacted Shannon and makes arrangements for him to pick up Skye .Nov.5 2007- Once the officer gets there to pick up the puppy, Miss Windsor tells him she changed her mind and is keeping Skye. She informs him that Skye is shy in traffic and this means she has been neglected.Nov 6 2007 -Miss Windsor calls and tells me that Skye has giardia and coccidia I email Skye's worming records to her. Skye was treated as a preventative along with all my dogs and pups. I do this every fall and spring. The treatment consists of 3 days of Panacur starting on October 22 2007 ending on Oct 25 2007 as well as 9 days of TM ( for coccidia ) starting Oct 17 2007 and ending Oct. 26 2007. There is no way when all my other dogs are testing healthy that Skye has those things. Nov.8 2007 -Two of my pups are show in a Georgina Kennel Club puppy match and place well. (take BOS and my male takes BOB, BPOB and group 4th.) Miss Windsor calls to say Skye has Parvo I send her vaccination records and again tell her there is no way because Skye has been vaccinated against it.Nov.14 2007 Miss Windsor calls and tells me Skye is so sick she is going to die, has been on IV for a week. I begged her to give me her vet's phone number so I could understand what is going on, Shannon refused and hung up on me. That's the last I've heard from her.Nov.29 2007 I sent Miss Windsor an Email offering to sell Skye back to her for the sum of $3000.00. This offer was made as an attempt to keep this matter from tying up the court's valuable time. This offer was to expire Dec.3 2007 at noon.Dec.5 2007 I received a registered letter from Miss Windsor offering me $500.00 for my pup. Seems strange to want to pay that amount of money for a dog that is supposed to be terribly ill. Dec.5 2007 I send a registered letter to Miss Windsor stating her offer is unacceptable. We will not sell Blackhaven's Night Skye for less than $3000.00Dec.7 2007 I recieved an Email back from Miss Windsor Stating she will see me in court.Jan.5 2008 I recieved an Email from a lady that claimed Shannon tried to sell her Skye for 950.00 and claimed she was unregistered, but when the lady checked the microchip info my name pops up as owner.I have a civil case pending, but this will only get me money, not my dog, and it's my dog that I want returned. I feel like such an idiot for being conned like this.She has been running around telling people up here that I neglect my dogs, she has used everything from bad nutrition to me having 2 dog runs set up in the yard. It has been pure hell this winter.I can't even begin to explain the emotional rollercoaster I've been on.I know these kinds of things are normaly delt with quietly, but quiet isn't working.Sooo I'm going to make a big noise. I'm at the point where I don't care if other people think I'm crazy, I just want my dog back. If I have to picket her house everyday that's what I'm prepared to do. |

On October 28 2007 Skye was stolen by her breeder, Blackhaven Shepherds. Skye was taken under false pretenses.Toronto Police felt they had better things to do than todeal with the theft of a pure bred dog.My local police felt it was a civil matter.The CKC said they can't help because they are only a registering bodyIt feels like one of my children has been abductedI'm planning a rally to picket Blackhaven Shepherds.Interested people should Email me at romance_german_shepherds@hotmail.comIt is my hope to generate enough public interest in this theft to get Skye returned. I don't have the 5000.00 like the guy in Toronto had to get his dog returned.As respectable breeders Blackhaven Shepherds business practices makes us all look bad.Please join me to help bring our Skye home. If you can't join us please pass this letter on to as many peopleas you can. The more people picketing,the bigger the crowd, maybe the press will pick it up |

Is this really neccesary? Simple facts should be all thats required for any case,the rest of this is just ridiculous. I am curious,do you have Skye back? Why are you selling her for $3000? I am not on either side,am not friends with either breeder but this has got to stop,it makes all breeders look pathetic,honestly.. |

Skye is for sale, I'm asking $3000.00 for her. My property I can do with her asI see fit. I can also ask however much I want for her. No, she is still being held for ransome at Blackhaven. I have her listed for sale to establish her value. If Blackhaven wishes to keep her they will have to pay my advertized asking price. Yes I think it's necessary, it's been 5 months, Blackhaven stole both my money and my dog. They can't have both. As for why I now have different mods...well on the original board it was pointed out that I needed different mods than just me, so I got some. |

What I asked what neccessary was all the little unimportant details,who cares if she was there when you whelped your litter? It has nothing to do with the facts of this case about Skye? Your right,you can ask whatever you want for Skye,but Im SHOCKED at your choice of price. I have a titled,proven,health cert'd stud male who is sale for a similar price. A dog is worth what its what,not what its advertised. Do you have any ideas on what her condition is now? Or if she is still show/breeding quality? I think $3000 dollars is a lot of money for a puppy,that you dont know personally what she looks like,nor her mental state. Kerri,the point is to be logical and reasonable. Get upset,edit my post whatever you choose but you should listen to my very honest words to you. Sometimes its better to back away before your losses continue to grow, Is there no reasonable agreement you and Shannon can conclude to? |

I have no idea what kind of condition Skye is in now. Shannon has not let me see her, not even pictures since she took her in October. I kept getting Emails and phone calls telling me she was dying. but Shannon has never given me any visual conformation. I got an Email from a lady who bought Blackhaven's Night Ryder. She said in her letter that she saw Skye in December and January, and She looked healthy, but she only ever saw Skye crated. In March I was contacted by a guy that said he saw Skye at the Sportsman Show He said she looked ok but was very shy., Shannon was trying to sell her. These are the only things I have to go on. We are just waiting for Blackhaven to submit their defence. If they don't then a judgement will be made to our favor. If they do then a court date will be set. |
