HI RHODIES! I am in California now. I WAS WONDERING, IF i buy the special sauce here, do I need to add the meat too, or does it come with it.? My real problem is finding the right dog to go under it! lol they have terrible ones here. As far as the right roll goes. I am lost! lol Also, I need me some WISE potato chips.. badly!! anyone have suggestions! PLEASE HELP!! I am in a 26yr withdrawal!! lol THANKS PALS!! |

The sauce mix contains the spices only. You have to add ground beef to it. This makes the 'sauce'. It's the sauce which provides most of the flavor. You can substitute an all beef hot dog for the actual weiners. Don't forget the finely chopped onions, yellow mustard and celery salt. You can steam the buns wrapped in a paper towel for about 15 seconds. Hope this helps! |

Just make sure you simmer the "sauce" for a long, long time. It blends the flavors. You can use regular hot dogs but none replace the "real weiner". I'm lucky that I'm only 3 hours away so I can get my fix of hot weiners, Del's, Coffee Milk, Iggie's clam cakes and chowder and good fried clams. Not mention the best Italian food from up on "the Hill" Only in Little Ole Rhode Island!!! |

chop the onions in a food processor tso they are wet thats the way the sysrems do it, and steam the buns. we make them here in florida with the spice mix.and cook it 3 hrs yummy and don't forget the ice cold coffee milk enjoy |
