What will an ideal airline look like? Will it make its riders take another flight simply because the pilot showed up drunk? Would it make its pilots go without sleep over the fear of losing their pensions? Would it cause their customers to hate it over environmental issues? In my opinion an ideal airline is one that maximizes both profit and social benefit. And concerning those two ideals, there is NO TRADEOFF. I have spoken.
