I forget how I stumbled upon this, but I found a website for a company that produces and sells sneakers made with fairly traded cotton! Unfortunately, the website is all in French. Has anyone ever heard of this before? The logo looks somewhat familiar... http://veja-fairtrade.com/ |

I've never heard of those shoes before, but have you heard of Blackspot Sneakers from Adbusters? There seem to be other fair trade shoes out there too, although I guess there's no labelling system for shoes like there is for food. If you want a (very rough) translation of any of the Veja site, let me know and I'll see if I remember any of my highschool french. |

The CRC Office of Social Justice & Hunger Action just had a huge section in their newsletter about fair trade school ideas - you can access the issue (a Word document) at http://www.crcna.org/site_uploads/uploads/advocate_2006sep.doc |
