This week on QSO we are featuring one of your members Nelson Cosbey K8LHV.Mr. Cosbey now 85 years young talks about his background as a airplane gunner in WW2 and how he was shot down twice.This gentleman was the first person to introduce me to ham radio when I as about 11 years old.Since then not only did I become a ham but my two sons are licensed hams as well.It has led me to a professional radio engineering career as well as my two sons.My youngest Matt KG4WXX age 23 is chief engineer for Dave Ramsey and is responsible for the radio snow that runs on 380+ radio stations across the country as well as the Fox Business Network.My older son David KG4WXW is chief engineer for Travecca Nazarene University in Nashville and their 3 radio stations and translators.I tell the story of attending meetings of the Motor City Radio Club when it was held at the Henry Ford Museum.You can check the website for the shortwave frequencies and times.You can listen in the Detroit area on 9330 on Saturday and Sunday 2 PM EST on WBCQ coming from Monticello Maine.Please pass the word around.ThanksTed WB8PUM
