Topic: llama neck curvature

I have a 8yr old llama who suddenly devolped a curvature in her neck. She is acting the same (standoffish, she was a rescue and altho curious not overly fond of human touch)eating,defecating normally. I can't imagine this is normal?

Is the neck curvature visible when you are looking broadside at the llama or when you are looking at her face to face? An injury is always a possibility, but I have also learned that llamas who have had meningeal worm can end up with a "wave" in the neck which is apparent when you're looking face on at the animal. My llama, Lacey, is a meningeal worm survivor and has this slight curve to her neck. You may want to check with your vet! Annette
