A memory that I will never forget is when I won student council Secretary. My 6th grade teacher stimulated me to run for the position, helped me with overcoming the fear of rejection, and even gave me the shoes off her feet so that I could give my speech. After the voting was done and the ballots were tallied, my heart began to race. Before I could even wipe the sweat from my face, I heard my name on the intercom. Talk about a joy. It was the most joyous day in my life... back then. |

The best memory I have is when I stopped walking down the aisle in Atkins, Arkansas and joined hands with my bridegroom. On August 2, 1986, we both shook due to the joy and gravity of the choice we made to love each other forever. In a few days, anniversary number nineteen will arrive.
