I found this on wikipedia Korfball is a popular sport (especially in the Benelux area) and featured in at least 42 countries with a national Korfball committee [1]. Its emphasis on the unisex aspect, its "clean" gameplay, outlawing most physical contact and encouraging players to outsmart rather than outmuscle their opposition, contribute to its popularity. Ironically, these aspects also often serve as a foil for ridicule. Korfball players, like netball players, are often ridiculed - both by cynical female and male basketball players. Korfballers reciprocate by saying that it is too easy to shoot baskets, because a basket is lower than a korf and has a backboard. |

I get ridiculed all the time for playing Korfball, mainly because I keep hurting myself and no one can understand how...... |

haha, i will reply to this, only becuz u were moanin so much tht no 1 had!! U no wen u went 2 the tournament, my flat m8 was at parkinson steps waitin 4 a bus cuz he was goin skydivin, n all of his skydivin friends were like wats korfball?? is it the sport tht ppl play cuz they cant play ne other sport?!?!? damn them, the cheek! xxxx |

Yeah because skydiving is a really difficult sport. Fall out of a plane! Amateur stuff. |
