Sweeper ProposalWe are suggesting that the last night of bowling be bowled in a Baker System format. Baker system bowling is a team sport. There are generally 5 players that bowl one game. Player 1 bowls frames 1 and 6, player 2 bowls frames 2 and 7 and so on ………We are suggesting this format because: 1. It saves time. 2. Afford every team a fair chance at winning the sweeper in the 4 divisions 3. Will allow us to use an 8 team bracket where 1st and 2nd place can win extra money. The format will be broken down into 4 divisions, teams final position round standings based on 1-8, 9-16, 17-24, and 25-32. Each top seed in their division will bowl the lower seed, i.e. 1st place will bowl 8th place, 2nd place will bowl 7th place, 17th place will bowl 24th place, 25th place will bowl 32nd place and so and so on. The top 4 seeds in their division will bowl in position A on the left lane and their opponents will bowl in position B on the right lane. After the first game of bracket match play is bowled 16 teams will be eliminated and the field will be broken down to 16 teams 4 winners in each division. The 4 winners in each division will then move to a different pair and bowl another Baker game with no practice against the other bracket winner, after this game is bowled 8 teams will be eliminated with 8 teams left, 2 in each division bowling for 1st and 2nd place in which each team will win prize money. This is something different and fun and everybody will be finished by 8 pm and can go do whatever they wanted to do. So what do you think?
