Didn't we all take the same obligation? Didn't we all agree to "whisper good counsol.."? Then why is it that we, as Masons, continue to talk behind eah others backs?? Can anyone answer this?

Brethren All--I agree, totally, with WB Miller's point. This makes me think of an analogy wherin during WWII there was the United States military and all of the allied forces fighting the evils of the Japanese Empire and the German might of Adolph Hitler. Weren't we all fighing for the same cause? If a fellow soilder fell from a wound another one or maybe even more would rush to his aid. They didn't say 'Oh, that's Bill, I don't like him anyway' and keep on going. No! They'd stop to lend him a helping had and get him out of harms way, never even thinking of their own safety. Isn't that what we're all about? We're not involved in Freemasonry to judge others, more especially, our own Brethren. Lastly, remember this, words, like a bullet fired from a weapon, can never be stopped or called back. I urge each and everyone of you to recall our teachings in the 3rd degree, wherin our MEGM would not give up his integrity nor his honor as a Brother Mason....We were all taught to emmulate him. Enough said.

In my experience I have seen brothers "feelings" hurt at lodge, they have left mad at the lodge or a particular Brother. Is it not our job to make sure no one leaves unhappy or dishearted? When a Brother is active one week and then he dissapears for months it is our job as officers of the lodge to find out where he is and what if any issues he may have. All men want to be acknowledged as a Brother on the level. I have seen elections where a brother was "Surprised" by the results never to return back to lodge while his Brothers recieved much humor and satisfaction to this end. This is not how Masons conduct themselves. This is what children and petty people succumb to not us. We Masons and given strict orders to act as such.

brothers, as i have not attended lodge in many years as i moved to tennessee! i bring to point that we have to access our selves from time to to time as human beings we form friendships and in all things they turn into what we know as cliques and maybe not intending we start to ignore other brothers or critize them because they do not belong to our group maybe not intentiale but this does happen and when i was attending lodge i did witness brothers being offended by this type of behavior and not returning as human beings and brothers it is our resposibility to check our thoughts and actions from time to time!we all took the same obligation to our brothers our selves and to all humanity!
