As a member of the 82nd Airborne Division we stayed at Thorney Island for a month back in the summer of 93. I fell in love with the little town of Emsworth. I frequently think about the nights spent at the Ship Inn and the folks there in the UK. Most importantly I think about the cameraderie we shared with the soldiers of 10 Battery, and receiving our British Airborne wings at Aldershot. This is one of the glowing times in my long military career.Just wanted to stop in and say Hi!
