My Grandfather Ralph Mant was born in Emsworth in 1897. Address on the 1901 and 1911 Census was 19 High Street. They also ran a Shop there. Ralph's Mother was Louisa Pennicutt whose family ran a Pub called The Fountain Inn in Westbourne Vilage, his father was Leslie Mant, also born in Emsworth and had many siblings. According to family stories Leslie Mant was a Cycling champion.Thats all I know, not sure of the date or events. Ralph had a brother Leo and a sister Neva,they all moved to no 1 Brighton Road after 1911 ? which has since been demolished to make way for the moterway. Any info or stories on this family would be great. Thank you
