ann baker	posted 8/20/07 1:02 AM     Hi. I grew up in Elyria, Ohio USA as Ann Dunstan. Had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My grandfather was Thomas Dunstan. He came over to the US as an infant in the late 1800's. Wondered if he was a relative of the Dunstans on this site.
Sharon Dunstan	posted 2/21/11 2:11 PM       HI Fellow Dunstans. From what I can see most Dunstans are related somewhere along the line! Many Dunstans originated in Cornwall and were tin miners. My family legend has it that some Dunstans came out to South Australia and have done well here since! I see some also moved to America and I have met quite a few Dunstans in Western Australia and Queensland. It's funny meeting strangers you are probably related to! I grew up in Victoria where my Dad was born in Yallourn. His father? or grandfather had been a builder in Sydney. After a bankruptcy he moved his family out to Lake Tyers in Victoria where there was an aboriginal mission on a lake. Our family has an interesting non-racist tradition... and my lovely grandma adopted half our family from the Berry Street Children's home, where she had been a volunteer. Cheers!
