I noticed that you had quite a lot of references to the town of Colac in Victoria, Australia and that among your related names was the surname BELL.Your Winifred Mary Dunstan, born in Colac, married her second husband William Bell in 1953. One of my grandmother’s brothers emigrated to Australia in the early 1900’s and I have managed to track down some information from Australian archives (NAA) but only references to his service record and also that of his son can be found there. Here is what I know so far; William John Bell, born Partick, Glasgow Scotland in 1905. Emigrated to Australia in 19??. Joined up to the Australian Forces sometime between 1938-45 at Victoria Park (?). Was residing in Colac with his wife Anita. His son, also William John Bell, born April 1938, Colac, Victoria, enlisted in Melbourne in April 1956 and served in the navy for 6 years and his address on entry was given as Carlisle River.NOK William and Anita Bell. Perhaps this is not the same family as your William Bell?? Can you possibly give me any ideas where I might find other online information about my Bell relatives?
