Now unfortunately I had only been here a couple of months when my bike got nicked!!As I am new to the area, I was wondering if someone could give me a steer as to which would be a good shop to get a good deal on a new bike (every cloud.....)Once I am back on the road I want to come down to the Tuesday night run. Would that be OK?Thanks Craig
Harvey	posted 10/10/08 7:02 PM       Craig, The main two in Derby are Samways on Ashbourne Rd, and Mercian at Alvaston. If you don't mind taking a short trip to Burton, there is Sheffield Cycles, where you will usually get a good deal. Also, there is Leisure Lakes at Breaston (mostly MTB), and Long Eaton Cycle Centre have recently opened a new show room with plenty of mid to high-end road stuff. All of them have their merits, depends on what you want, how much you are looking to spend, prefered brands, etc.
