Unforutnately I could not remember a lot of details from my dreams last night. It was weird.. I woke up at 5:49am (my alarm went off) and I immediately got up to write down my dreams. In my notepad, for the date I wrote "11/04/07". Hmm.. don't know why I thought it was November - I was probably still half asleep. Anyway, the only thing I could really remember was my sister was in the dream, and we were at my mom's house. There was also an unidentified male there with her, but I know he was not somebody I previously knew. There was a quick reference (through conversation) of her high school friend Sarah, whom I haven't seen or talked to in about 7 years. After I went back to bed for another 9 minutes (until my alarm went off again), I had another short dream that I was up and writing in my dream journal. Obviously, none of these were lucid dreams. http://www.brokenhartentertainment.com/ |

I'm not really sure, but I feel like the first two dreams were linked in some way. I seem to remember trying to find a way to some body of water in the first dream, and I believe part of the second took place at a body of water. Also, the researcher could have been part of the college I thought I was at. 1st Dream (bits and pieces) - I don't remember too much about this one, just that I was walking around what seemed to be a college campus late at night. It was a fairly hilly area with very thick and green grass and buildings scattered around. I don't remember why I was there, or why my mom was with me for that matter. However, as we were walking around there were some shady characters walking around the same area, which my mom wasn't too fond of. She kinda wandered off to a building that was open to get away from the people outside. Inside the building I think there were some batting cages that she was trying to take shelter in, but there ended up being some weirdos in there, too. That's all I remember. 2nd Dream (main topic) - I'm not sure if I was part of some competition or was just commissioned to do this, but my goal was to create a multi-purpose car that would be taken out on animal expeditions of some sort (before I went to bed I watched Top Gear and a little Discovery channel). I think the researcher, or whoever was in charge of the project, was happy with my first vehicle, but I still had a couple more to build. That's about all that I really remember. (3:00am - Woke up to go to the bathroom) 3rd Dream (fairly specific) - This dream may have been longer than I remember, but the parts I do remember are pretty detailed. I was playing softball (of course), and my team was playing our league rivals. I remember there was a lot of tension on the field and that it was a very close, back-and-forth type of game. It wasn't really a specific team that I'm on, but it was a co-rec game. There were two outs and no one on, and my team was down by two or three runs late in the game. The guy who was up for us walked, and then the woman after him came up. I'm pretty sure it was someone I work with at Williston, but either way she walked. After the third ball I realized that I was the next batter, and I remember being worried because I wouldn't have time in the on-deck circle before I went to the plate. Despite that, I still pictured what I wanted to do. I could see myself hitting a deep fly between right and right center that would get the two runs home and put me on at least second. Anyways, I started walking to get the bat the woman before me used when I realized the area behind the catcher was a bunch of wooden planks, almost like a deck (it actually reminded me of my deck). There was an open area a few inches wide between the edge of the "deck" and the chain-link backstop that the bat had rolled down into. When I picked it up there were a couple of other bats. One was the other team's, so I set that aside for them before grabbing the other bats that belonged to my team. With those bats in hand I started walking behind the catcher and ump to my team's dugout (along third base) so I could return the bats and step into the batter's box when all of a sudden-- (6:00am - Woke up for work) |

wow good recaps of dreams. mine night was a lot less succesful. i woke up to my alarm on a few different occasions but had no recollection of dreams. i did however only sleep 3 hours which may have had a lot to do with my lack of success. i plan to sleep longer tonight and hopefully can come up with some dreams. its also funny to note, the last 5 days prior to last night i have been having many dreams and been remembering parts of most of them. so it is odd that this day i remember none. i think the amount of sleep has a lot to do with it |

I think, according to the website, intense dreaming is not supposed to occur until approximately four hours into sleep. It peaks again at something like 6 1/2 hours, and then once again after that. Again, I can't recall my dreams. This is something I am historically bad at. I *do* remember part of a dream from two nights ago. I dreamt that I got a phone call from a girl I've done music with before, and she was being super annoying. Which is not too much of a stretch from how she is in real life, so I had to check my phone to make sure that conversation never happened. Kent |

I usually remember a lot of my dreams and a lot of details, so I was pretty confident I would have some good tales. However, maybe I was trying to hard to be lucid, and instead of remembering any dream details, I found myself thinking (while asleep) "Oh, that was a dream I just had." That thought immediately made me forget the whole dream. This happened several times, sometimes it woke me up and sometimes I went back to unconscious sleeping. So I was not very successful. http://home.att.net/~thehessians/disasterwatch.html Global Disaster Watch |
