Atlanta Georgia, a new & emerging market for Southern Soul, hosted a powerful introductory Night Club show @ the prestigous Pearl Bistro & Bar. Featuring Bobby Johnson, Kenne Wayne, & T.K. Soul together with yours truly, DJ Virge, (Atlanta's hottest night club party DJ) on one show. The reviews were awesome as all three artists performed to unanticipated levels of showmanship. From the sultry sounds of Bobbye Doll, to a powerhouse voice of Kenne, and an electrifying performance by T.K., the entire crowd was mesmerize to the point they didn't realize 8 hrs had passed since they arrived @ 3pm for an 8pm showtime which ended @ 11:30pm & they wanted more. Chemistry among artists is so important in entertainment value, & these three were a perfect non-stop match. Of course, with the ATL being a major metro market, it is very challenging trying to introduce & market music of a genre outside of pop. music. But the many adult club partyer's are becoming less tolerable of mainstream lyrical dysfunctions. They are looking for alternatives to; Wifey, Just In Case, & Before I Let Go, then back to Rap music. Southern Soul is their alternative & whether the other DJ's or club owners like it or not, the people are continuosly requsting it more & more. And I don't turn down requests from people who paid to party. Southern Soul started in the clubs and it will be no different in Atlanta. Its always about the people, not the club, DJ or artist. Put their entertainment first in all we do & Southern Soul will take over. Shine on with good music and we'll find you!! Thanks for all of your support. DJ Virge!! |
