In two games in the same week against Coach Larry Cook and his West Coast Wildcats in two different leagues, Coach Lambo would become the victor, with a 23-17 overtime win the NSFL and a 10-7 victory in the WFFL. The hilight of the WFFL game was not the game itself, but the disaster that would strike in the third quarter. Since Lambo had to coach two games on West Coast's home turf, Lambo sent the Rainier Sasquatch team home on his private 747, rewarding them for their win to remain in the NSFL playoff race. Pike Place drove down, packed into a short yellow school bus as Lambo kicked back on the beach with some of Swingin' Wang's bikini-clad mistresses. "What do you mean I pay more attention to my NSFL team?" asked Lambo in the post-game press conference. "You guys are all wrong. In fact, I had hot Happy Meals and some of Wang's midget pornos waiting for all the team members when they arrived at the Super 8 Motel." Pike Place dominated in the first quarter, quickly going up 10-0. However, just as in the NSFL game, Coach Cook and his Wildcats would put up a fight. Pike Place dominated the half stat-wise, but the Wildcats would come up with two interceptions, one with Pike Place nearing field goal range, that would prevent Pike Place from scoring any more. While the Pike Place defense did a good job of holding the Wildcat offense to very little production, a key interception thrown by Pike Place's Captain Whidbey in the second quarter would put the Wildcats in position for an easy TD, making it 10-7 going into the half. Early in the 3rd quarter, Pike Place would stop the Wildcats from getting into field goal range by forcing a fumble. Shortly later, with less than 8 minutes in the 3rd, disaster would strike the West Coast stadium. All of the coaches on both teams became violently ill. The vomiting coaches covered the sidelines with something resembling a mixture of Coach Wang's green apple splattered goat dung and Big Gay Al's special Pink Lemonade recipe. Although it's not known why all the coaches became ill, there is suspicion of foul play by bitter Oregon City fans who are angry about the Fish Flingers moving from Oregon City to Seattle. In fact, it's known that some Oregon City fans took jobs at the local Taco Bell, and Coach Lambo's and Coach Cook's entire staffs had a fiesta there before the game. The League Commissioner implemented his disaster plan, which involves special computers that call plays for each team on the field. Unfortunately, it seems that the Oregon City fans didn't stop at food poisoning. They put a virus into Pike Place's computer, severely damaging its abilities to call appropriate plays in appropriate situations. While Pike Place still emerged with the victory, the effects of the virus were obvious. Pike Place had gained 200 yards of total offense at halftime. In the second half, they would only gain 39 yards. While the coaches on both teams are now recovering nicely in the hospital, with the "help" of Coach Wang's nurses, fans of both teams are furious and are demanding an investigation. There are rumors of a conspiracy that may involve some players and coaches in the league. In fact, some believe that Swingin' Wang's anger over the "current theme going on with the West Coast teams of Pike Place, LA and West Hollywood" may be leading him to conspire with the Oregon City fans to "punish" the Pike Place coaching staff. All of this, while earning the trust of Lambo by providing him with the "services" of his mistresses and nurses. Wang is known for being sneaky, with those shifty eyes of his. Is this a case of betrayal? Only time will tell as the league plays itself out. |
