drophiking!In view of the sucsses of 1720/SB3(who dont allow any hiking).Should we provide some none hiking races as a trial?

is no one going to reply to one of our older sailors. I think it is a good idea but should only be applied to the over 65's.

We have discussed this before, people...I think it would look a bit odd if we are the only country to stop drophiking. It depends on the crew you have, of course. Some are keener to go over the side than others. But basically, if you want these machines to go as fast as possible, you have to over the side. IAIN THE SECRETARY

On GBR170 we have 2 mature hikers on board who experience no difficulty and prefer hiking as we find it easier than hanging out. People spend fortunes on sails looking for speed whereas if they've good comfortable harnesses and these are set up correctly the crews would be able to hike better and find it more comfortable.
