you should buy a toad. wild toad are used to being free. if you take in a wild toad it may stop eating. if you love your wild toads so much get or build a toad house. mine stay in there all the time. they go out at night and return to the house by day. i dont need to feed them at all http://www.toadlovers.com my website |

If you provide a wild toad with a healthy environment as described on this site I see no reason why the toad would not eat. A 5 gallon bucket would not make a good long-term home for a toad so our toads were released the next day. |

Somehow the first sentence in my post was not included. I actually posted:I caught a couple of American toads the other night with my kids and placed them in a 5 gallon bucket with about 20 store bought crickets. By morning 19 had been eaten. Toads are gluttons. If you provide a wild toad with a healthy environment as described on this site I see no reason why the toad would not eat. A 5 gallon bucket would not make a good long-term home for a toad so our toads were released the next day. |
