I have a vitamin deficient toad - he no longer eats and his legs have become really weak - I can't get the vitamin powder in him and am not sure what to do to help him recover - does anyone have any suggestions??? |

Pam, the toad needs a vet right now, but if that's totally impossible, you should try a Vit D3 supplement without phosphorus in it. Also, a UV light over the tank might help. Try going to frogdaze.com and asking over there. They are friends of our site and know a lot about vitamin issues. Good luck http://www.toadilytoads.com |

Thanks for that info - I have done all of those things. Contacted a vet and the other two things you mentioned. He is eating now but does not digest the Calcium worms I am giving him. Within a couple days he spits up the worms which don't look much different from when he ate them. If you have any thoughts please share. Thanks again - Pam |
