My friend. I am a new Greek spray can art artist,I started before a year. The problem is that the last summer i faced three times problems (small) with authorities ( in Greece) I want to know what happen in other countries about this item. Is there a law who tells that road art is illegal , because here in Greece they ask for permission that you can not find it.

I had the same problem in NYC. They wanted permits but would not give any permits to Spray Can Artists because they said, we draw to big a crowd. My only reply was I can't paint in my home because of the fumes. So, I paint here out side of my home. They asked where I live I said near here. Where do you live? So they said move on or we will take all of you stuff and give you a summons to appear before a Judge. I said, "When Rome started taxing all the Artists Rome fell." I then pointed out the nearest donut shop and usually that pissed them off and I had to leave. The best thing to do is to make your self very mobile. Keep moving and when you draw a crowd and the cops come, ask if you can finish the one you are working on and offer one to him for his wife or familly as a gift. if he walks away for a few minutes people around you, who know you must leave, will usually buy what you have out.
