It kind of bothers me when folks say there's no gravity in space since the truth of the matter is that gravity is everywhere. "But how come astronaust in space are floating around like there's no gravity?" Because astronauts are in free fall, and they're in free-fall because of gravity. When in orbit, an object falls AROUND the curvature of the planet as opposed to falling toward the center of the planet. Not only that, but falling IS WEIGHTLESSNESS. Weight exists when there is direct contact between two objects due to the attractive force between them. Or at least that's how I understand it. Can anybody correct me here if I'm wrong?
