So... how about that G.E.E.C. (Goodfellow's Effort Eliminating Computer)? I kind of have two problems with this concept. First, how does the G.E.E.C. gain control of the billions of machines and vehicles it operates throughout the world? I could understand it if some kind of control chip was installed in all G.E.E.C.-controlled devices. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Like when that experimental jet flew off without its pilot. Did Goodfellow secretly install billions of control chips in all the world's machines and vehilces? That sure seems unlikely. (Plus, it would take centuries for one person to do all that.) Also, how big would a computer have to be to be able to control billions of machines and vehicles throughout the world? The size of New Mexico? The size of Texas? The size of the Earth's surface? |
