Anybody seen that kick-butt action show 24? During the second season, there was a scene where a terrorist nuke was detonated in the desert outside of Los Angeles. Now what I want to say about that is that the explosion didn't entirely look real. It looked pretty good, but it could've looked more realistic -- espeically when considering the advances in special effects production these days. Contrast that with the nuclear blasts portrayed in the (possibly infamous) TV movie The Day After. The explosions there didn't look100 percent real, but I'd dare say they were more realistic-looking than the blast in 24 despite the "inferior" special effects involved. Go figure!
