*Slowly, almost lazily, dawn breaks over the plains in front of the city of sailors retreat, slowly bringing warmth and light back to a land that has, temporarily at least been shrouded in darkness.* In the camp of the Hunt, Nerendar looks around, studying his charges with some interest - Goldar, still recovering from his titanic battle with the one known as Delenar seems both shaken and exulted, emotions warring within him over whether he should glory in his triumph, or whether sorrow should consume him over the fall of great men. Jonas, sitting as ever slightly apart from the others, pride for his battle brother warring as ever with the wolf spirits need to test himself against strong opponents, and the jealousy he contained over Goldars apparent favour... would the challenge come today? the shaman Idly wonders as his gaze slips to the other members of the hunt all young without a firm path ahead of them. All of them needed guidance... not for the first time a worm of doubt begins to gnaw inside Nerendars mind who was he to guide these children? he had little power and as he had been shown in his trial little wisdom also - and yet the path of the shaman, followed for centuries by the clans appeared to have faltered for surely the elders should have counciled patience? and yet other shamans should have seen the danger delenar presented.... standing Neren turns to address the hunt* "Laddies, you should all be proud of yeself, what ya achieved over the last few days was truely awe-inspirin' in more ways than one! but I think now is the time to plan our next move and ta prepare for the almighty task the Kame have offloaded onto us."

Jonas, still sitting slightly apart from the group looks at Nerendar. The shaman who had prooved himself as a worthy companion to the hunt over the past days spoke the words they were all thinking. What to do now?
Jonas knew what he had to do. Test himself as his Karme seems to view him as unworthy of its challenge. He would leave the hunt for a time but would return before they faced the battles to come. He needed to find worthy foes to battle if he was to proove his worth to Machias.
"your words are true, Neren, yet i feel i should take my leave for a time. I need to fight........... alone."
The Bear spoke to Goldar numerous times and even showed itself to the Hunt. The Wolf did not. This wounded Jonas more than he could say, his jelousy marring the vision of his battle brother. He did not want this to be, so a time apart would do him some good. Help him calm his restless spirit.
"i shall not be gone too long, a few weeks or a month or two. I shall return though, fear not."

*turning to look Jonas in the eye Nerendar smiles*
"And ye shall go forth from the pack, and be as the lone wolf, vicious and strong, deadly."
*Neren massages his temples for a moment considering*
"Jonas, I know why you wish to tread that path and I truly understand, remember the path you have found, and remember your brothers in the hunt we'll be waiting for you when you get back"
"Actually me laddies I think that the wolf boy has a good idea for all of us, we are the Hunt, the future of all the clans is embodied by us and we are family.
But it is time for all of us to spend some short time apart, Jonas wishes to go his own way as I fear must I all of you remember your brothers and look after ye swords we'll be seein each other agen soon".
*This said, nerendar begins gathering his possessions into his satchel, muttering under his breath distractedly*

"It is good that you understand, Neren. I think you are right, the Hunt could do with some time apart to think on their paths."
He looked to Goldar, his brother in battle. He could see the turmoil and worry the past few days had placed on his face. Although he had great love for his brother, Jonas knew that he could not help him. He did not know if he would even if he could. But that was his bitterness rising again. Time away was the cure, it was what they needed he was sure.
"Goldar, i shall return soon. I will send word before i come back."
Walking to Goldars side he places a hand on his shoulder offering his hand which was taken in a warriors grip. "Be careful brother. I will ask the bear to watch over you. Find peace if you can.". Goldar spoke as looked into Jonas's eyes giving him a knowing look. He understood how Jonas was feeling. His eyes always did betray him.
Packing his belongings, Jonas walked a few yards away then turned to look at his band. He would miss them. He focused again on his path, a look of determination on his face. He would make the Wolf see he was ready to be tested. He would be seen as great to his brothers. Or die trying.

Goldar of the True Linovel

Goldar sat as his friend, his battle brother, spoke of leaving. His eyes still glowed with the ferocity of combat, but his body was broken by the ferocity of Denelar's magic couple with the elders strength. He had faced his hardest challenge but now his friends, his family, his Hunt, was splitting, and his compassion drove him to tears.
Goldar looked up at his brothers, already packing their belongings, and he shook his head. But he spoke.
"As the Linovel spliter, and civil war comes to their home, We are split. A last bastion of hope for our people, and we split. Doubt makes us weak!" But Goldar stopped and looked at his friends. "But it is through overcoming it, that we will become stronger than ever before. So it must be, the Hunt will split. Follow your own paths, decide what must be, find who you are... I shall stay here, all who wish to stay can. I shall wait for you, my brothers, we will walk together again soon."
"Farewell, Hunters. May your paths find you, and may they draw you back to the hunt."

*Finishing packing his things, Nerendar turns and watches Jonas leave, before approaching Goldar* "What you say is partially true Laddie, but some things must be faced alone - Jonas is torn between his pride for you and fear that your star eclipses his own, to the point where his god has turned it's face from him." *Nerendar shakes his head slowly* "As fer me? I need to go, the mists call me and I need answers! Why have my brothers of the order failed to stop this? Who leads us now Jajuka has fallen..." *Nerendar turns away to face the Mountain* "And if I'm right... I have to do something no man should have to endure once, let alone twice" *Without looking back, nerendar begins trudging towards the distant wood*
