The Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent has decided to organize a teach-in on the war in Iraq followed by a peace march in Kent. We don't have a date for this yet, but we intend to schedule these events for this coming fall. If anyone has suggestions or energy to put into this effort, please get in touch with me. Thanks! |

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent is looking for suggested names and contact information for people who would be good speakers at our planned teach-in on the war and peace march, which we are looking to schedule probably in early October. I spoke with Sue at the peace vigil last week about people who might be good speakers. Sue, can you send me the contact info asap for the people we discussed? If folks have other names of good speakers or groups or individuals who would like to participate, please contact me. |

The date of the Community Teach-in on the War in Iraq has now been set for Sunday, October 2nd at 1PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent at 228 Gougler Avenue in Kent. The Teach-in will be followed by a peace march through Kent. More information will follow in subsequent messages as we get the event organized. We are still looking for input and suggestions for these events. |
