I have been researching McNamara's on my fathers side of the family, his gr grandmother was Honoria McNamara - daughter of Bryan McNamara and Mary Reddy but have just discovered I also have Mcnamarra's on my mothers side of the family. Ann McNamarra was my gr gr gr grandmother, she was the daughter of Thomas McNamarra. Ann married William Morton Longdon at Field of Mars, Ryde, 16 July 1855. They had three children Faith Morton (f) b Parramatta 1856, Hope Morton (m) b Maitland in 1858 and Charity Morton (m) b 1861 in Tamworth. Faith married Thomas Byrnes at Inverell. If this family is familiar to anyone I would be most grateful for any info. Gail |

Hi Gail, I too am researching the McNamara's. My family descend from Honora's brother James b. 1819 in Murrisk, come to australia with Mary Reddy on board the Caroline in 1833 to join Bryan their husband and father.Honora married Thomas organ , then later Arthur McConnell she died in 1882. hope this helps some |
