I am researching all branches of my family tree and stumbled across this site. It's great to see all of the entries and I can see some links to my family, albeit thin. So..Here's the info I have on my branch of the McNamara family. I'm sure we're all related somehow so i hope you find a link.My GGGrandfather Patrick McNamara was from County Clare in Eire, his wife was Margaret Considine. His son Michael McNamara 18??-1909 migrated to Victoria Australia in the 1850's and in 1873 married Sarah Elizabeth Simcocks. They settled in Ballarat, he was a wool classer. They have several children, one of them Sarah McNamara married James Scullin, Australian Prime Minister during the Great Depression. Another child was my Grandfather, Patrick Joseph 1878-1973. Patrick settled in Yarraville, Melbourne and built a house. He married , in 1912, Margaret Burns 1889-1962 and had 7 children. His oldest son Thomas John is my father born 1922 married Margaret Therese Chute in 1949 and settled in Footscray, Melbourne. My name is Tony McNamara born 1958 and we live in Torquay, VictoriaAn uncle of mine, Jim McNamara has been corressponding with a McNamara back in County Clare whom I'm trying to contact as well.I hope this helps...
