I'm looking for any links to my family of McNamara's I have info on my Great Great Grandpa Mathew Thomas2 McNamara. Born Apr 6, 1843 in County Clare Ireland Died Aug 8, 1923 in Hawarden IA.I'm looking for any family links if you have any please e-mail me or post info here thanks. |

My grandmother was Helen McNamara from Cree - she came to America in 1907 at the age of 20 but returned to Ireland in 1916 and married my grandfather, Thomas Power of Querrin. She died in 1961. She was one of 8 children but there was no Matthew. Her father was Michael McNamara from Cree (near Doonbeg)and assuming he was around 30 when she was born he would have been born just after the famine. I don't think we're related but I thought I'd drop a line anyway. Thanks |

There is a branch of the family that moved to Massachusetts from Ennistymon in County Clare. Haverhill, South Boston, West Newbury mainly. |
