Fess died only three years before I was born, but within the past five years or so, his amazing piano skills have been very influential to me. I'm a pianist, and Fess is one of my top five heroes. I have so many, but Fess is one of the top ones. Fess truly is New Orleans greatest piano innovator. Within the pantheon of the New Orleans pianists, Fess is truly the top god. His inventions and "gimmmicks" influenced generations of pianists, and still is. His musical spirit is still lives on and so will his incredible music! Long live the "Bach of Rock"!!! |

I remember seeing "The Fess" at City Park free concerts and the concerts behind Audumn Park on the River. My Friend Ivy Robichaux and I rode my Honda 350 there and had a bottle of MD2020. I truely miss the "Fess" |
