I am interested in joining a cycling club. I have not done any cycling for a while now but you can't beat the feeling you get on a bike. I am a real novice and i don't want to show myself up in joining and being really rubbish to start with. Can you please give me advise where to start. I am not a spring chicken anymore. I am 40 years old. Thanks.

I too have been toying with joining a club, I have never had a road/race bike in my life until two weeks ago having replaced a stolen mountain bike with a Carrera TDF from Halfords. I also am no spring chicken at 57 going on 58 years of age and also don't want to get in too deep at first and would appreciate your help and advice
