Wow, A friend of mine just e-mailed me this site. I have one pot-bellied pig who is 12 years old now. I got him when he was just 4 weaks old. His name is Franklin and he is a pig of habit, so when we had to relocate, he bacame a little stressed. Transporting him to our new home was a bit of a challenge. Franklin and I got into the back of the empty moving van . It was dark and he was frieghtened. Not knowing what to do, I decided to try singing. I put his face in my hands and snuggled close to his ear and started singing the "OUr Father." Well that did the trick, Franklin calmed down and just stood nevt to me for the entire trip as I repeatedly sang his new favorite song to him. Now it's just not belly rubs, and treats, it's also his favorite lullabye - The Our Father." As soon as I start singing that, he immediately lays down. ONe more story that I'd like to share. Franklin entered a commercial contest. We made a vidio of him with his TIDY CAT Litter. He sat like such a gentleman as he explained that Tidy Cat Cat Litter wasn't just kitty litter, it was piggy litter too. Sorry to say, we did not win the contest. I wish I lived nearby LOH, but I live in NJ. If there are sanctuaries like this one, I would love to know about them. I hooe someone reads this and responds.
