Hi, doesn't look like anyone has been here for awhile, but I'll post anyway, what could it hurt?
I own a chunk of property outside of city limits with ample space and free reign for our beloved piggers. Though my dear Bella Rose is a spoiled pampered indoor piggy (she is only 2 weeks old). I guess you could say I rescued her from an evil man just out to make a buck. To be honest, I knew nothing about taking care of a infant pigger. I quickly did my homework and discovered that they have a 56% chance of death when taken away from mom to soon. I immediately tried to go back (4 hours one way) and buy mom too, but I was too late.
I must have done something right, because my baby is flourishing and for the most part out of danger. YEAH!
I was recently asked by a major piggers association if I would like to be a foster mom for piggys, sure would, you bet! Once our Bella is completely out of the danger zone I will probaly get a few more.
If you have an emergency please feel free to email me and I will do whatever I can to help. I am a work at home so my piggers gets lots of lovin and huggin from me.

Hi. I don't have a pig, but I was at a Harvest festival tonight and there was a potbelly piglet there in the petting zoo. I came to find out that he is only ten days old and was outdoors, at night, without easy access to water, and no access to food, or warmth. I am concerned for the sweet little guy. He was shivering and huddled up in the corner (no kids were in there anymore as the petting zoo was closed by that point). When I commented on him, the friend of the owner, who didn't appear concerned, picked him up and wrapped him in her sweatshirt. While that was a good thing, 3 minutes later he was back on the ground w/out the sweatshirt and trying to force his way in-between two bales of straw, even though it was not possible to do so. I am fearful that this piglet will die, if he hasn't already. What are this little guy's chances with an owner like this? What are the laws regarding car of a piglet? Help! I want to contact the SPCA but before I do so, I want some advice.
