Hi Jaimee,in most cases, floating independently in air, is usually an illusion. These illusions are created by "magicians". Actually these "magicians" are nothing short of Illusionists, they create a sense of magic by tricking the mind and the eye.Being an illusionist is NOT the same as being a witch. The idea of witches flying on broomsticks was created when women would spread a "flying ointment" on to their broomstick handle and then would rub it into their private areas by "riding" the broomstick like a horse. The flying ointment was made from herbs that cause hallucinations in people and the witches would become completely spaced out and thought they were flying.So in answer to your question, the answer is no on the physical plane, but yes on the spiritual plane.
