Guernsey Rugby Union Football Club v Old AmplefordiansLondon South West 4Saturday, 12 March 20051.30pm Kick OffFootes LaneGuernsey remain on top of the league, 2 points clear of nearest rivals Old Reigation (with either a game in hand or 2 points subject to appeal). A home win on Saturday would be another significant step towards the title. There are only 3 matches left in the season and it looks like we need 2 more wins to secure the title. We hope Saturday delivers one of these wins.Old Amplefordians are 6th in the league picking up 6 wins this season and are a high scoring team. GRUFC had an improved performance 2 weeks ago against Romsey and we are hoping this is a start of a return to the form we saw early in the season. We beat Old Amplefordians 46-6 back in September which was our first game in this league. It will be interesting to see whether the gap has closed.Home support can be crucial in these games and we look forward to seeing everyone there. Crowds of over 600 have been attending so far this season and the atmosphere has been terrific.Admission and seating in the Garenne Stand is free. Refreshments will be available. The game is preceded with the Guernsey 'mini minis' warming up the crowd with Rugby on the main pitch in from of the stand from 12.30pmUpdates available on Saturday if you want to call me on 07781 125152 before, during or after the game. Regards and thanksSimon Perry
