Doretta, why did you delete this thread when I previously posted it? It shows a 69% increase in recycling tonnages in East Dumbartonshire since the adoption of an alternate weekly scheme. Just goes to show that anything Doretta doesn't agree with is deleted as offensive! So much for fair and impartial!! |

Why does an increase in recyling have to be associated with fortnightly waste collection? I am all for recycling, and if councils educate and aid residents on this issue that can only be positive. What I fail to understand is why we cannot achieve good recycling rates and still have a weekly collection?? As a single mother I think it is totally ridiculous to have waste sitting around for 2 weeks! |
