Wow, Rotherham's initial pilot of an alternate weekly collection service saw residents achieve a 50% recycling rate. Unsurprisingly they've decided to expand the scheme across the whole council area. Epping Forest's problem demonstrates how important it is to develop facilities for collecting food waste from households and for that not to just end up in residual waste. I hope Rotherham have got that element sorted. |
