One time, I went to Best Buy to a couple of Dance Dance Revolution Dance Pads. They had two left, so I picked them up and took them to the Cashier. After writing my check, I gave it to her, but when she rang it up, it said my check was bad. The two pads together costed about 50 bucks, and I had over 200 in my account. So she says, "Go and use the payphone to call your bank and clear everything up with them." So I did. My bank did say that I had over 200 dollars in my account and asked where I was trying to make a trasaction. I told the bank, Best Buy. So she said "Oh, Best Buy? Recently we've had a few people call, having problems with Best Buy." So I returned to the cashier and told her what I had said with my banker. She couldn't do anything, so I tried 3 other Cashiers; with no success. So I had to travel down the busiest street in town to go my bank's main building to take out cash, travel back to Best Buy to get the pads. And the funny thing is, when I left, a person who looked very bored glared at me and said "Thank you and have a nice day". [This message has been edited on 10/07/2003] |

I had this happen twice... I was at best buy with my dad. Picked up a few things and went up to the check-out counter. My dad wanted to use his credit card, so he slide it through the reader, and a little message came up saying his account was invalid. Thinking the maching was slow, he slide the card through again but got the same results. My dad told this to the cashier and she mentioned that they were having problems with they're system. After hearing this, my dad checked to see how much cash he had on him and I ended up having to hand over some of my own cash to pay for the stuff. [This message has been edited on 08/08/2003] |
