I think it plays into Michigan's hands that they drop 4 spots in your rankings for not attending the nyc. They just won their second tourney of the year, Marquette. Mukwonago (WI), a team on the rise, that quite possibly has two of the most talented quizzers in the midwest, placed second. Capitol City was third. Are the rankings correct? Maybe. Only time will tell. Until then, may the world of quizzing outside the south continue to study hard despite their lack of respect.

I'm aware that it's not Michigan's fault they can't quiz at AACS. But I think most teams have their eye on the main tournament, AACS. So if you can't compete at that tournament and you only quiz at one of the other 3 "major" tournaments, the team falls out of the radar of most people. It's not that we don't respect their team, because it's clear they are good teams.

Nah, I think David's right. I pretty much don't respect them! Disclaimer: This is by all means intended as a joke. If you were offended by this post please check your sarcasm meter and read it again.

FWIW, Faith MI did not move in my poll from where they were before the NYC!
