Who is everyone's favorite NYC quiz master? Matt West, Brant Callaway, David Douglas? Might as well discuss something while waiting.

No lie. I think the best quizmaster of them all might be David Poston.

David Douglas is the best. He is fast, fair, and consistent. Enough said.

I agree with Princess: not only do I have great respect for the three quiz masters previously mentioned, but I also enjoy quizing in their rooms. They're fun, and they try to act as if they have fun quizing you. The major addition to the list would be Jesse Startup.

Yeah i agree with no-name. Now a good question would be are they really having fun quizzing you are are they just acting it? Cause there are some quiz masters that you can tell are faking it. Now i don't think the 3 mentioned are like that, but you never know.

i had matt west for the first time as a quizmaster at athens. i'm sure he's a great guy, but there was at least one w/o a doubt wrong answer that he accepted in one of my quizzes. someone even challenged and he didn't accept. in my opinion, he doesn't really show much concern for the exact answer although he was a very fun quizmaster. i liked him a lot.

after somewhat of a bi-polar post, I had to reply with a question. What is more important- having a fun quizmaster or having a accurate quizmaster? Also, speaking from experience. Matt has put alot of effort into becoming more accurate while holding an high level of fun in his quizzes. I can assure you he is much more accurate/less fun than he used to be. (ex. "ok, question #28-also Warrick Dunn's number)

Well, he could've made a mistake, but who doesn't? But when ever I've been in his one of his quizzes he does a really good job.

I have to agree with you guys a little bit...Matt West is a lot of fun to quiz with. My favorite thing is his hand motions before tossup questions. It could be annoying...but since I was usually the one who made the first error it was fun to watch... and I'm still bitter because the only quiz in the round robin at Athens in 05 that I didn't quiz out was because Matt turned my light off for the first 8 questions! (jk...I still love him!) He is a guy that loves quizzing and has made innumerable sacrifices for it. I wish all the quizzers could pick up on his passion for God's word.

Matt West is a very fun and interesting quizmaster, although he hates toss-ups, which in my opinion are some of if not the funnest kind of questions. If he had to ask it more than twice, he would start slowing down on the very last syllable of 'questi-on.' We got caught a couple times on that... but we were laughing at ourselves for making the same mistake so many times!

Jesse Startup was a great quizmaster - I'd rate him right up there Mr. Valentine & Mr. Douglas.
