Running Alteria in linux Redhat 9 with Nvidia GL(v4496 GF4Ti). Lighting doesn't seem to render correctly. Dynamic light sources like torches are fine, but in most outdoor areas, it looks great from a distance but when i approach the lit surface(cliff face, etc.) everything goes dark. I am familiar with quake2 and q3a cfg files, but not quake I. I was wondering if that is where i can fix this(having major difficulty seeing enemies up close) and if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks.
