Evil and Pell are back! Here's what I've got so far:
-----------------------------
Pell was lost in thought as he picked up a wrench to tighten a bolt on the ship's engine. He never imagined he'd find himself staring at the underside of a ship's engine, tuning it up, but here he was. Good thing he's taken a mechanics course in school.
He checked his watch. Evil was gone on a mission, and still wouldn't be back for a few hours. Geez, that girl was mysterious. He'd been on her ship for two weeks, and she barely acted like he existed. He'd been afraid to talk to her; she seemed to put up some sort of wall whenever he was around.
Pell wiped sweat off his forehead. Funny, it seemed freezing in here. He was also very tired, but he wanted to have the tune up done by the time Evil got back. He wasn't feeling very well.
He tightened the last bolt and slid out from underneath the engine. Maybe if he took a nap, he'd feel better.
Walking to his quarters was difficult. The room was spinning, and his knees were wobbly. He eventually made it to his bed and flopped down, falling asleep almost instantly.
------------------------
Evil tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she typed away at a computer. She paused for a moment, checking to make sure no one was coming. Since it was Sunday, the office complex was empty, bit that didn't mean she couldn't get caught.
She hacked her way into the central mainframe, found the file she wanted, inserted a disk, and told the computer to copy the file onto the disk. Instead of copying, big, red numbers flashed onto the screen:
0:05
0:04
Evil didn't have time to curse as she jumped out a nearby window, falling three stories into a bush, just as the computer exploded. Ignoring any injury she might have received, she ran to her motorcycle and sped home to her ship.
---------------------------
The ship was very quiet, Evil observed as she walked into the living area. Pell wasn't in the engine room; she already checked there. He wasn't in the galley, either. She shrugged, deciding Pell was probably in his room. She sat down in the cockpit and initiated takeoff, not thinking too hard about the fact that she failed her mission.
------------------------
When Pell's eyes opened, he saw an angel. A lovely, long black-haired angel with amber eyes, smiling down at him. He was laying on a soft, puffy cloud. He saw another angel, leaning in the doorway, with her arms folded across her chest. No, wait, that wasn't an angel. It was a demon.
"What's he muttering?" Evil asked her dark-haired friend.
"Something about angels and demons. I wouldn't worry about it. He's delirious. Fever's 104. It's a good thing you brought him to me. What's his name?" The "angel" sat on a corner of the bed Pell was on.
"Pell."
"Pell? What kind of a nickname is that?"
"It's better than what he had before. Pellinore's a sissy name."
"Didn't you pay attention in history? Pellinore was a knight or something like that, who slew a dragon."
"Heh. Pell slaying dragons."
"You don't like him?"
"Pell? Um..."
"There's something about him you're not telling me."
"Ceylon, it's better I don't tell you." Evil smothered a yawn.
"Evil, when's the last time you slept? You look like a mess!"
"A couple of days ago. And I look like a mess because I had to jump out a window. And all for nothing, I might add."
"You go get some rest. I'll take care of Pell."
"Yeah, okay, whatever." Evil went to her room, hoping Pell hadn't heard too much of that conversation.

I did, Miss Special! Can I put them up this update, or would you prefer to finish the story before I put them up?

Btw, I'm liking the story so far! I hope Pell gets better. He's very sick! 104 is a high temperature. Poor Pell. The picture of him is SO cute...! Won't give anything more away. Everyone will have to wait for the update this Friday (which will be the last until July thanks to my exams...bleh).

Here's more! It won't be finished by Friday, but please put the pics up anyways.
-----------
Evil's ship was parked in a paved lot right next to a small, quaint town. Pell strolled down a street, observing a few shops, a shooting range, and, what he was looking for, a restaurant, called "Rosie's Diner." Not the most original name, Pell thought, as he walked in.
It was lunchtime, so the diner was mostly full, but a nice waitress put Pell in an entire booth all to himself. Pell ordered a drink, the waitress left, and he was left alone, taking in his surroundings. Most of the diner patrons were there by themselves, but the booth next to Pell had six people in it, engaged in casual conversation. The number of people wasn't as remarkable as who one of those people was.
Evil didn't notice Pell as she stirred the straw in her milkshake around. She'd probably kill Pell if she knew he was there. He decided it wasn't his fault he and Evil wound up in the same place, so he wasn't going to do anything about it.
The waitress came back with his drink, and he was thanking her as a cheerful voice said, "Pell, is that you? I'm so glad to see you're better!" Pell looked at the black-haired, amber-eyed girl sitting next to Evil. She seemed vaguely familiar.
"What are YOU doing here?" Evil growled, her grip on the milkshake glass tightening.
"Oh no you don't!" The girl pulled the glass out of Evil's hand. "You are NOT going to break another glass."
"Um, excuse me," Pell said to the girl. "Do I know you?"
"Of course! You were so sick, you probably don't remember me! I'm Ceylon." She smiled warmly. That's right! She was the angel! "Here, why don't you sit with us?"
"Ceylon!" Evil protested.
"Just ignore Evil. You're my guest, and there's nothing she can do about it." Ceylon scooted over, giving Pell room to sit. As he sat down, he noticed all conversation at the table had stopped. The only one who wasn't staring/glaring at him was a girl who seemed to be air-typing.
"Evil, would you like to introduce him?" Ceylon asked very nicely.
"He's your 'guest'. You do it."
"Okay! Everyone, this is Pell. He works as a mechanic for Evil. Let's see, tht on the other side of Evil is Pirogi." Pirogi, a sandy-haired guy, acknowledged Pell and fell silent again. Ceylon gestured to the air-typer girl, who had ash-blond hair, gray eyes, and wore very large glasses and interesting gloves. "That's Lint. Don't feel bad she's ignoring you. She's preoccupied at the moment. On the other side of Lint is Barricade." Barricade said an enthusiastic hello. "And, lastly, that's Phly." A guy wearing an aviator's jacket and gloves, with chestnut brown hair and dark brown eyes, glared back at Pell. Overall, Pell felt unwelcome, but he didn't let it get to him.
"So, Evil," Pirogi said, trying to start up a conversation with a sulking Evil, "how're the Grays working out?" Evil glared at him.
"Hey, just because you're unhappy, don't take it out on me," Pirogi said in defensive tones. "I'll just think twice about letting you have prototype weapons."
"The Seamless Grey X400's are working fine."
"Ah, good."
"Success!" Lint proclaimed. Everyone stared at her. "I've ordered our meals!"
"How'd you do that?" Pell asked, astonished.
"I just hacked onto the diner's mainframe and told them what we wanted. It's simple, really."
"Where's your computer?" Pell said.
"Hm? Oh! See, the glasses are the screen, and the gloves are wired to simulate a keyboard. Latest technology."
"That's pretty cool!"
"Sure is! Hey, who are you?"
"I'm Pell. I work for Evil."
"You work for EVIL? I didn't think-"
"Hey, Lint," Ceylon interrupted. "Didn't you have to go to the ladies' room?" She gave Lint a Look.
"Yeah, okay... Evil, why don't you come with me?"
"Fine." Evil and Lint were let out, and the left for the bathroom.
"Good. Now Evil's out of the way. Evil may be my best friend, but she's not very friendly."
"Yeah, no kidding," Pell agreed.
"How did you come to work for Evil?" Barricade asked.
"Long story," Pell laughed. "Basically, she rescued me, and since I wasn't doing anything better at the time, I decided to work for her."
"Really? That's surprising. She usually doesn't like strangers," Lint said.
"Oh, don't worry, she doesn't like me. Not in the slightest."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Ceylon said. "When you were sick, she flew you here, and had me look at you first."
"First?"
"She took a nasty fall out a window. Didn't she tell you?"
"Nope. She doesn't really tell me anything. Is it the same with you?"
"I don't think it's as bad. She doesn't tell anyone much."
"Yeah. It's like she's got a wall up between her and everyone else."
"She's actually a pretty nice person, once you get to know her. If you get to know her."
"Really? How long did it take you to get past the wall?"
"Oh, there's no getting past the wall, but there's lowering the wall some. We met her before there was a wall."
"Ceylon," Phly spoke up for the first time, his voice sounding like a warning. Ceylon got very quiet, and her face turned a little red. It became obvious to Pell they were all hiding something.
"We're back!" Lint chirped. Her cheerful expression disappeared when she saw the faces of her friends. She and Evil caught on to what was going on, and somberly retook their seats. Pirogi was sadly staring at his right hand. The waitress came and served everyone their lunch.
