Looking into what is considered the best method book(s) out there for tenor horn. My daughter has become interested in playing, and there seems to be few choices out there... Many thanks in advance for any assistance! |

I say the Arban book. Yes, it's a trumpet method, but it can apply completely to the Tenor Horn. It's got just about everything you'll need in it. |

I agree about the Arbans, but also like the Rubank Method books by Hal Leonard for beginners. |

The Arban method is good for any valved brass. It dates from 1864, so it would be for cornet a pistons. There are pictures of Saxhorns in the back of the book. http://gsmonks.webs.com/ |
