I know this is a dumb question but what purpose do the larger heavy bottom caps on the Besson Prestige Alto Horn serve?? How do they differ from the regular sized caps? It seems like I have asked around and people really don't know. Please help me clear this confusion uThanks |

supposably the bottom cap smoothens out the tone and makes it deeper, |
