Hello all, As most of you know, I've been wanting to get this site its own domain name and buy more space for a long time. I've even started working on a new layout with lots of extra features and such. Now, I know a lot of you have offered to send ten dollars each to purchase a domain name and space, and at last we have enough. However, I looked around the Internet and confirmed what I already knew: American hosting companies are much cheaper. To buy a website here would cost be R500 set up fee plus R100 a month. Your dollars would pay for the setup fee and a few months worth, after which I'd have to find some way of paying for it myself. HOWEVER: I found a good American hosting company which provides the following: 400 megabytes (as opposed to only 50 I'd get here) Your own domain name (so we could have something like www.bw.com) 5 gigs transfer File uploader (and FTP) - We could form a network of sister sites, which means for anyone who's interested, we could combine websites and both be able to update it. All this for $66 dollars a year, and we already have enough money for that. All I need now is for someone in the USA to set up the account for me, and we're ready! So, my question to you is this: Is there anyone out there who'd be willing to collect the money everyone's ready to send and post it to the host company's address? (I already have it) It's really simple, but because of exchange rates and such, I need an American to purchase it on my/our behalf. Please, if you can help, let me know! I've got the whole of July to finish the new layout. The site will no longer belong to just me, it'll be everyone's! Maybe we could think of a new name like BW Fans United or something? Let me know what you think! >Sapphire< http://sapphire15.yoll.net Sapphire's Beast Wars website |

Well, I could collect the money and send it off. The only problem is, my dad doesn't like the idea we are proposing, my mom does however, but she wants to hear some more suggestions first. |

Ok, Hacker. Thanks. Anyone else willing or does anyone else have a better idea of how to do this within America? >Sapphire< http://sapphire15.yoll.net Sapphire's Beast Wars website |

Thanks, Sapph! I checked out Lonex. I does look like a pretty easy process. You could put your address on it Sapph *South Africa was listed on the mailing menu lol* the real issue is with what to do about the money. I'll look at it more in detail later. Maybe I could think of some ideas. |

Thanks Solar Blaze. I have enough money waiting to be sent, but I just need help on setting it ut. It'll be much easier if the money was sent from Americans to an American, who can then set it uo where Lonex is based - in America! Rather than sending me dollars which will strengthen or weaked depending on SA's crazy exchange rate, then me sending it all the way back to America. It's a bit silly doing it the long way round. If anyone has any ideas, it would be most appreciated! >Sapphire< http://sapphire15.yoll.net Sapphire's Beast Wars website |
