The Prosecutions Third WitnessHayley HallHH: I swear that the evidence I give shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.RH: Thank you for coming today Ms Hall, could you please tell the court how you are acquainted with the defendant?HH: We have been having an affair for the past 18 monthsRH: Mr Hansworth and yourself have been having a sexual relationship?HH: YesRH: Can you also tell us what relationship Mr Hansworth has to your infant daughter Leanne?HH: He is her father.RH: Did anyone else know about your relationship with the defendant?HH: Not as far as I knew.RH: I’m now showing you three photographs, could you explain what they show?HH: They show Greg and I on a weekend break, we went to a forest retreat.RH: Was this weekend break before or after Adam was killed?HH: Before, a couple of weeks before I think.RH: Thank you, no further questionsAL: Ms Hall, are you sure Mr Hansworth is the father of your child?HH: Yes, of course I amAL: Isn’t it true that you first said it was a Mr Samuel Jones, and summons him for DNA testing?HH: Well, yes, but only because I was trying to protect Greg, he said it would ruin him. He didn’t want the baby anyway.AL: First you said it was Samuel Jones, now it is Mr Hansworth, who will be the father of your baby by next week?HH: I told you, I only said it was Sam to protect GregAL: So you were only thinking of Mr Hansworth, how noble of you.
