Do I have to worry about leaving my tent and someone stealing my stuff out of it, or stealing stuff out of my cooler? Thanks for the help. |

As at any large gathering you should secure your valuables. While almost everybody is just there to have fun and enjoy the music, there are always a few bad guys around looking for an opportunity to rip something off. At Summer Camp it is more likely than at Waka because at Summer Camp you aren't camped near your vehicle. If you leave a cooler outside a tent at Summer Camp it is likely going to be emptied of select items [I lost a full bottle of 1800 last year :( ]. At Waka you will be parked right at your campsite so it is easier to secure things by locking them in your car. The most likely time to be ripped off is during the main shows of the evening as nearly everyone is at the show. So I guess my advice is don't leave anything you can't afford to lose unsecured, especially during the evening shows. Get to know your neighbors and keep an eye on their stuff while they are away and they will do the same for you. I am much more concerned with the cops at Waka than the occasional theft of a bottle of booze.
